Video Display Is Not Working Properly
Video is distorted or not showing even when fully charged
Loose Display Connector
Make sure that the device is plugged in and fully charged. If you press the on/off switch and the light turns on, but the display does not show, then the screen may be malfunctioning and should be replaced. Here is a link for the Display Replacement Guide (LINK HERE).
Malfunction with the video driver
Usually, screen flickering stems from a software malfunction with the video driver. This either means that the video driver is outdated and needs to be updated or the video driver that was previously installed was faulty. Through the device, open a browser page and navigate to Support for Dell. Locate the "Drivers Home" page and find your device. Click your device and download the latest driver. On your device, go to device manager and uninstall the current driver. Click the new driver download file after booting to install the new driver.
Battery Has Trouble Charging
Tablet dies very quickly or does not charge
Faulty Charger
Make sure you are using the correct charger for the device and if the charger is not faulty. If you are charging the device and the tablet does not respond, the battery may be damaged and should be replaced. Here is a link for the Battery Replacement Guide (LINK)
Faulty Battery
If your tablet's battery life seems to be short, a downloaded app may be using the battery too much. Try deleting some apps that may be running in the background or control the usage of such apps. If the problem still persists, the battery may be faulty and should be replaced. Here is the link for the Battery Replacement Guide (LINK)
Tablet Unable to Connect to Wi-Fi
Tablet does not connect to any Wi-Fi signal or constantly disconnects
Incorrect Network Settings
If your tablet seems to be disconnecting from the Wi-Fi, you will need to reset your network settings. Tap the Network you want to connect to, and click forget network. Reconnect to the network. Router is Not Responding
If your tablet is still not connecting to the Wi-Fi, there may be a problem with your operating system. If you are using a router in your home, try unplugging the power source from the router. Keep it unplugged for about 30 seconds and plug it back in.
Sound Not Working
Sound is staticky or does not work
Incorrect Sound Settings
If you are not able to hear anything from your tablet's speakers, make sure that your tablet is not muted. Navigate to your sound settings and check to see if the device is muted or if the volume is put on very low. If that is not the problem, then check if the application you are using for sound is not muted. Make sure the sound ports are not covered by a case or debris.
Faulty Drivers
If you cannot hear sound coming from your speakers, there may be a problem with your sound drivers. Through the device, open a browser page and navigate to Support for Dell. Locate and select your device. You can either run an automatic check on your device or locate the driver yourself on the "find it myself" tab. Download the driver needed for your device.
