Controller Won't Turn On

When the controller is plugged up the power light does not turn on and the controller gives no inputs

Improper Connection

Ensure that the USB port you're plugging the controller into works.

Faulty Cable

Try using a different USB-C cable to see if you have a faulty cable.

Dirty USB Port

If the USB or USB-C ports get too dirty it can interfere with connection. Get a small object like a toothpick to scrape the inside of the port and clear it of any debris.

Malfunctioning Thumbstick

When not touching the thumbsticks the controller will still input movements. Movement is not precise or smooth

Miscalibrated Controller

Issues with stick drift can be sometimes caused by a miscalibrated controller. To recalibrate your controller follow the steps below.

  1. Download the GameSir Nexus software off either Xbox store or Microsoft store
  2. Open the application and enter the profiles menu
  3. Click on configure below the profile of your choice
  4. In the top right of the app click on the icon that looks like a beaker
  5. Hold the M button on the controller and menu button (top right of the Xbox home button)
  6. Follow the steps show in the app to complete calibration

Dirty Joystick Modules

Through everyday use a joystick can collect dirt, grime, and crumbs which can become lodged in components. This can make the controller less responsive to inputs or falsely respond to no input due to the buildup. To try and fix this try cleaning the area around the joysticks using canned air or a bristle brush/microfiber cloth. This will hopefully clean any debris causing issues.

Parts: None

Tools Required: Compressed air, bristle brush or microfiber towel.

Worn-Out or Broken Joystick Mechanism

If calibration and cleaning does not fix the issue this would indicate a faulty joystick. To fix this you will need to replace the joystick modules. For this follow the GameSir G7 SE repair guide.

Tools Required: Metal pry tool, Phillips screwdriver, TR6 screwdriver bit

Controller Wont Vibrate

When playing games the controller will not vibrate.

Vibration Setting Not Enabled

Make sure your vibrations setting is enabled. This can be done in the settings of the game you are playing.

Vibration Support

Not all games support controller vibration. Try playing another game to check if it is a game issue or an issue with the controller

Defective Vibration Motor

If you have tried the above steps and the controller still wont vibrate, the motors inside the controller could be defective. For replacement visit the GameSir G7 SE repair guide.

Button Activating Without Being Pressed

The controller randomly inputs movements when your not touching anything

Static Electricity or Interference

Random button activations without physical input, potentially caused by static electricity. To fix this, discharge the controller by unplugging it from the console, then pressing and holding any button for 30 seconds to discharge any stored electricity from the controller.

Dirty Circuit Board Contacts

If the problem persists it is possible that the contacts for buttons have got dirty. To clean these properly you will need to follow the GameSir G7 SE repair guide.

Faulty Circuit Board

If the problem persists after cleaning then the circuit board will be causing the issues. To replace the follow the GameSir G7 SE repair guide.

Triggers Not Sensing Distance

When I press the triggers, the depth control does not work and only has one input

Dirty Trigger Area

If you are having issues with the triggers it would be a good to clean them. This will hopefully help with any trigger registration issues.

Tools: Compressed air, bristle brush, microfiber cloth

Faulty Trigger Sensors

If the issue is persistent, then replacing the depth sensors on the triggers will be a fix. Follow the GameSir G7 SE repair guide.

Updated, calibrated, recalibrated, checked button mapping. The xyba buttons just vibrate when I push them. Thoughts?

Controller wont turn on when plugged in. I’ve tried different ports on my xbox. The cable itself osnt the problem. I was using it the night before left it plugged in and when i go to turn my xbox on again the controller won’t work

trigger is stuck and hard to push cleaned and still wont work. Cant find a number to call as this is only a month old controller
