I have trouble connecting my phone to the UE boom 2. It could connect to the UE boom but not to the newer version. I have a Android phone (elephone p8000) pleas help me fix this problem.

Hi, I own an UE Mini Boom speaker and am quite happy with it. For close to a year, I have been pairing it with a Moto X (First gen) and I have had no issues. Recently, I upgraded to an LG G4. And the speaker pairs well with my new phone as well. However, the connection sporadically drops out. Moreover, even when connected to my phone, the speaker app says my device is not connected. What could possibly be the issue? I would like to check my speaker's battery status. Moreover, I believe the sporadic disconnection is probably because the UE Mini Boom app on my LG G4 isn't working as it should be. Kindly advise. Thanks

I recently got a Droid Maxx2 and am having trouble with my ue rolls sound. They pair up fine, but the sound is so low and crackly. I have checked the volume, reset, and repaired the device but it is still the same. There is also no startup or shutdown noise. Any suhhestions? I have only used it about five times with my old phone and have had it only about a month.

my boom has always been fine but today it sounds like a stuck record? very annoying. Fine when played on apple mac air but speakers audio is terrible?

Hey somehow i changed my power on and off settings. Now to turn it off i have to hold both volume buttons simultaneously, and to turn it on i have to hold both volume buttons and power button at the same time. Please help

I tried several times from 3 different devices, to update my UE Roll via BlueTooth using the Android App (Nexus 6p, Nexus 5x and Nexus 9) and every single time it would stop at a different percentage (25%, then 80%, then 60% and then 45%). What is the issue? My Internet connection is 100/10 Mbps, and my devices are getting a steady 4 out of 5 bars where I tried the updates.

The white light next to the charging port flashes 3 time with a white light when plugged in and then nothing. Have tried to reset and connecting to comp. Nothing works.

Hey do you guys have any idea why my volume buttons aren't working?

I made the mistake of upgrading the speaker ( ver 2.0.97) and app (ver 5.0.169). I lost the connectivity on one speaker completely, just a flashing bluetooth indicator. After resetting the two speakers and reloading the app, losing and re-connecting the bluetooth, it seems to work now. No equalizer adjustable settings? Not sure if the system will remember the double-up mode? Very poor presentation on the screens. Swipe for finiding other speakers?? Really? Had to Google that one.... One step forward, three steps back. C'mon Logitech - make it easy for once.

my UE ROLL won't charge with any cord I use but when I plug it into a computer it chargers for about 2 seconds

My UE Boom 2 battery life is not very good only get like 1 hour at full volumen is this normal?? Sometimes it shows very low battery life and sometimes even without charging it shows a percentage way above before evwn without charging it.

My book connects to my iPhone and I can see the Bluetooth emblem activates, however neither the light on the boom comes on, nor does sound come out...is this the battery life? It is fully charged (left it charged no while I went out, came back to it not working) hasn't been anywhere near water, however I have been traveling in high humidity areas...is that the cause?

I had just bought the UE MEGABOOM yesterday and at first it was working beautifully. However, later that day the speaker stopped making noises when you turn it on and now won't play anything even though it is connected to the device via Bluetooth.

I had the classic Ue Boom, had no problem at all. Now i just received the megaboom and i'm so disappointed. Them saying its waterproof is the biggest lie ever. Took it 1 min underwater, and since then it got so $@$*. It won't charge anymore, been stuck at 40% for days. When it turns on, directly the like low battery sound and then turns off after 5seconds. So !#^&@@ off at this bad product, hope they will repair it for free.

I have 1 Mega Boom and 2 Boom 2's and i can only play two at a time. I was able to play all three at the same time when I first got them but now as soon as I turn on a third one, one of the other ones turns off. My son set it up for me the first time so I may be doing something wrong.

I bought a UE boom speaker seven months ago and I've had no trouble with it other than today, when I went to turn it on and it made this horrible glitch like sound and wouldn't turn off, then a few seconds later it shut off. Can I double up with a UE Boom and a UE megaboom

I bought a UE boom used from someone and it already had a faulty volume up button, problems with the power button, and a major difficulty to connect via Bluetooth. I got it working somehow, cleaned it with bleach so that it would look nice, and yesterday I tried to see if the speaker was waterproof. I poured a glass of somewhat cold water on it, and it still worked. But later, after I shut it off, it became a brick. Nothing triggers any response from it other than holding volume down and pressing the Bluetooth button, the light blinks once and goes away. I charged it overnight, but still nothing. The worst part is that I dont think I'll be able to get a new one under warranty because I bought it used. I don't know if it was the water that did this, or something else, but any help is greatly appreciated.

1 . Now, UE megaboom switch on while i am cahrging UE megaboom however when i un plu chargeing and power switch off. One more thing is that I did not use to open UE Megaboom during charging .

2. At least i have charge to open it now, but still not chargeing battery but speaker turn on . Battery life is the same after i charge 10 hours battery life.

3. i did hold the top of key and hold down key at the same time. I heard a song however it does not work. No battery life increase, could not turn on without chargeing

I dropped my UE Megaboom into the water, for just a few seconds and not even one meter deep when it was on, and after that it stopped working at all... now it doesn't charge or turn on... what could happen?? because it supposed to be waterproof (everything was hours and it was properly closed the usb)

Hi, I have disassembled my UE due to battery saving matter. Right before the disassembling , I did reset the UE twice. But now sounds like it's not functioning at all with the sane battery, which it need to be replaced.its doesn't turn on or charge. However it just blinking the bright Light for 5 second then goes off. My confusion is it might be from its board as I did reset it two times or it might be from the battery. Could anybody tell me what part is infunctioned so I can repair it. Thanks for your great and useful web.

I brought my UE Boom 2 at T-Mobile . And every since I been having battery issues. Like it don't even last 15 hours . I don't usually hear music as often with the Ue but only practice. For example, it be 100 charge I use it two hours. The next day comes it be on 30 percent. I don't know why or understand. I charge it for long period of time thinking it's the issue, however the problem still consist. I hope you guys can help me

Unfortunately Speaker fell into the washing machine . Since it is a waterproof so thought would be alright. Stopped working in few minutes and went dead. Tried opening it and put it in the sun for hours and it start working again.

My UE boom speaker is connecting fine to my computer and makes the connection noise and turning on noise, however no sound comes out when I play music from my computer. The music on the computer plays fine without the speaker but nothing through it. Please help!

To everybody out there having issues with there booms. Contact Logitech and tell them your speakers sound is distorted and they will send you a brand new one. I did it last week because my speakers sound is a little distorted at high volume. I have the ue boom 1 and they replaced it with a ue boom 2 phantom edition free of charge. Got it 2 days ago delivered. BTW, they didn't even want the old speaker back or pictures or anything.

All was fine until I charged my UE BOOM 2 a couple of days ago now it will only play one track at a time, it won't follow the link. The speaker stays on. It's not my Android phone, it's definitely the speaker. I've tried the factory reset but still irritatingly doing it. Have I accidentally reset something by accident? Jools

My UE Boom Bluetooth speaker won't stop skipping and it's driving me CRAZY!!! Is there a fix for this? It's really annoying, to the point I'm thinking of trashing it.

i have a 2 x ue megaboom one in blue and one in red , had them a couple of years and the red thing is a pain in the arse, luckily i took out insurance on it as i am up to speaker number 4, connection issus afetr i connected it to a friends phone to listen to his play list, wouldnt connect to any other phobes after that so tried to reset it as per instructions and it then wouldnt turn on, next speaker which was used twice decided to not charge up, and constantly said when holding + and - buttons “power at 40%” , but still wouldnt charge . looking on the ue web page it states that you might have to umplug and re plug the micro usb power lead up to 30 times ??? really it does…….. if its in a state of wont charge. Still didnt work. Speaker 3 after a few months …………….same issue with charging (common problem according to forums), then i am with my current speaker which doesnt like to party up with the blue one………………. shocking quality

The Boom Mini speaker is blinking, charged and on, but both my phone and my macbook can’t detect it. It doesn’t have a bluetooth button, only a button with a phone icon, which turns it on and two volume buttons. All the articles and trouble shooting pages i have read all say to turn on the bluetooth button, but my speaker doesn’t have that.

For me it helped to deactivate WLAN on my mobile phone to pair it with my mobile phone without reset my UE Megaboom to factory defaults!!

Mobile phone is a Motorola G5 plus.

My UE Boom has stopped turning on nor is the charging indicator light turning on while having it plugged in. The one thing that is working is the pairing light is on and has been for a couple of days now. Might this be an indication that my battery has seen better days?

I just tried resetting the phone to factory according to the troubleshooting instructions by pressing the power button and -volume and it turned off after making a sound. Then when I turned on the UE megaboom the bluetooth light never stops blinking! Even when I turn it off and turn it back on the light blinks non stop. Did I just break my speaker? I didn’t do this more than once!

I meant I tried setting my UE Megaboom to factory settings, not my phone!

When using my 2 UE Megabooms with the Ultimate Ears app, the music from Spotify starts to stutter like nothing else. Several second gaps occur making the listening impossible. It works perfectly okey with just one Megaboom, so Im thinking this could be an issue with the app?

After spending a signifant amount in the second Megaboom, I wish I could listen to Spotify in stereo. Any tricks for this problem?

I am seeing constant issues with my UE Boom 1 and iPhone X. It pairs, then drops, in an endless cycle, to the point its now unusable. Is this a driver issue with the iPhone X? Was there a change in the Bluetooth spec? UE Boom doesn’t even appear on its website to offer driver updates or support for this device. What is happening here? It only began happening with the iPhone X. So frustrated with this.

My UE Megaboom s-00147 was doing a firmware update via bluetooth, it reached 99% then the battery turned off. Now the device wont turn on.

I have a megablast that stopped playing mid song. However, it stayed powered up but with all buttons unresponsive. It would not respond to the factory reset protocol. A friend played with it a and pressed all four buttons simultaneously which made it power down. When turned back on it was fully functional. Voila!

I purchased a Megaboom from Amazon last year 11/2017 and today (9/22/2018) the speaker has completely gone haywire on me. It’s not turning on, it’s not responding to anything at all. It won’t let me turn it off, can’t factory reset it either. I’ve tried everything in my power. It’s literally not responding to anything. It’s not even discoverable via Bluetooth. What can I do to fix this problem. I own 2 megaboom speakers and I used them at work in the hospital I work at. It’s very disappointing to see such a good piece of tech. Crap out so badly! It’s very frustrating!

Hello, I am trying to sync a new BOOM with a 2-3 year old MINI BOOM. The FAQ on the website says this is only possible if you’re running the BOOM off version 5x or 6x, not 7x or 8x, but doesn’t give any indication how to do that. Does anybody know?

I had a JBL flip 3 which would last for many hours at max volume. Bought a UE Boom 2 due to it’s better fidelity… it lasts only an hour at max volume.

The battery light indicator shows steady little light on the bottom of my megaboom; however, it will not turn on or allow me to pair it. *l can remember my nephew taking to his car. Could him pairing it in his 06 Avalon Limited caused some sort of problem?

My wonderboom cuts off while it’s turning on. I’ve had it charging for a while but it still does not work. I think something is wrong with it but idk.

Brand new UE Megaboom makes a horrible sound when I connect my phone's Bluetooth. After that is works just fine but I'm worried this loud sound will end up breaking it. It sounds just like when a device is connected to a stereo with a high level volume on.

My Ue boom 2 can’t seem to pause or skip.

Hi there, I just bought a UE Boom 3. I have been trying to reset my boom 3 to factory setting by holding down top button and the lower volume button at the same time for more than 10 seconds. It doesn’t seem to work. Does anyone know why?

Hey I was given a replacement ue boom 3 by the shop as my boom 2 kept cutting out briefly but regularly. Embarrassingly the new one is still doing it but not on partner’s phone, also an iPhone SE. Why doesn’t my phone like ue boom? It’s been doing it for a few months but not since I got the phone or boom both of which are over two years old. So it’s got to be my phone or wifi (which is strong and good for everything else) but not the boom (new and old boom both doing same thing) Close to speaker its doing it so not a distance thing, and battery fine.

My UE Megaboom did not have sound, even it connected to my phone, when I turned it on or off but fortunately I tried to press volume down and up at the same time. Now it has worked well. It is wonderful. Share for anyone have the same problem. Thanks.

Diese Klangveränderung kam wohl durch eine Aufnahmeprogramm, das ich kurz installiert hatte.

Außerdem fungiert sie jetzt auch als Mikrofon - alle Geräusche im Raum werden übertragen….

I updated the firmware on new boom 3 and power button won’t work. Can’t turn off or pair.

My device will not stay on long enough, after a few seconds if turns itself off.

It was playing fine then I made a call, after that this problem started. I checked Bluetooth and mega boom was not only not connected, but was removed from Bluetooth settings as well!

Megaboom keeps turning itself off every 5 minutes so I done a factory reset as advised and still keeps turning itself off???!!

When I turn on my UE Boom 2 speakers, bought brand new, there is no sound at all. I connected to my iPhone and tried playing music, but no sound coming from the speakers. I’ve gone through the process of doing a factory reset, but there was still no sound coming from the speakers at all. Das klappt mit de Vebindung, aber na ca. 1 bis 2 Min. kommen ständig Abrisse der Musik bis hin zum völligen Aussetzen der Musik. Was kann ich tun, damit es eine stabile Verbindung b l e i b t ??

Übrigens, beim Samsung A 5 2017 und beim Samsung Tablet Tab 4 , ist eine einwandfreie Verbindung gegeben!!

Nothing is working, tried everything and it still doesn’t turn on at all, i’ve tried a factory reset and plugging it into my computer and nothing and it’s not coming up with a charging light at all, it’s not even 12 months old.

I have difficulty pairing my boom speakers with each other. I have tried on the ap and by clivking the volume and connector button on one speaker and the connector on the other. Still no luck. I updated both speakers

I only get a distance of 7 metres instead of the stated max of 45 metres

My speaker will pair and play but after a few minutes or a few songs it disconnects. It will reconnect but then immediately disconnects. It just keeps connecting then disconnecting over and over? Any suggestions?

I have a megaboom and megaboom 3. When i go to party up the second speaker by dragging it up to the first speaker it drags up and there is a spinning circle then 2nd speaker disappears. Reset the whole system speakers and app. It works once only. Just read that multiple factory resets can damage speaker. Why? Love the sound. Love my speakers now I am getting frustrated. When i turn my UE Boom on, connect it with music, it starts with maximum volume ! When interupted eg by phonecall it will stop and start again on maximum volume… when i press the volume min button it immediately jumps back to the volume chosen previously.. how can i avoid this jump to max volume?

I do t want to use the app for turning up the volume. Can’t it just work with volume control on devise? It used to work fine that way. Now if I delete the app it doesn’t let the volume go up.

I have the same issues. In the PartyUp screen one speaker will often nor recognize the other speakers even though the firmware and app are up to date and all the correct settings are set. I keep getting a message that says This Speaker is Private. So frustrating. ready to return these . .

Depuis hier le son ne sort plus depuis mon enceinte, voici les vérifications déjà effectuées:

Appairage à nouveau effectué

Réinitialisation d’usine

Mise à jour du logiciel

Je note cependant que mon enceinte semple avoir besoin que je presse très souvent sur le bouton blutooth.

Que puis-je faire?

I have that problem from I both my ue boom2 it's doesn't want to pair woth more then one device. It can pair with my galaxy note 3 but then it's shows that message on the galaxy grand prime the password is not matching and it doesn't connect. And did the same in opposite situation. So the boom2 let me to connect to only one device. How I can fix this? Thx

I can’t get my UE Boom 2 to work with my new Acer Chromebook. It finds it and pairs it and says connected but no sound comes out of the boom box. My boombox works fine with my phone and my old chromebook . It is very frustrating because my hearing is poor and I can’t hear everything with the poor sound level from the laptop

Just a note on the UE Mini Boom, to perform a reset you power on the speaker and hold down the Bluetooth Pairing button and the Volume “-” until you hear the tone, then power off and power back on. This corrected the paring problem.

hoy al actuliozar mi eu boom 1, se ah reventado un parlate y no creo que sea por el uso ya que lo eh estado escuchando de lo mas bien en el volumen intermedio (antes de la actulizacion), cuando ya lo eh atulizado se revienta a los 10 minitos de uso , creo que es irónico que nos vendan un producto anunciando que va a durar para siempre cuando a la primera actulizacion que le doy este se rebienta y se escuche chichariento.

I bought a new UE Boom 3 for myself for Christmas after seeing how good they are on a building site. I paired it fine with my LG20 cell phone but when I connected and came to play music on it Bluetooth would make an abrupt noise on the Boom 3 and then stop with a message on my phone saying Bluetooth keeps dropping off. Tried clearing caches and all other connected devices / airport mode / updates. The Boom 3 was fully charged and the cell phone Bluetooth works well with all my other devices and the Boom 3 works well when paired with other cell phones. When I returned to the store we tried another new Boom 3 from the box and I had the same problem with it. So it appears that there is some incompatibility b/w the LG20 and any Boom 3. Any clues?

My UE BOOM not working , it only works when I connect to USB cable. Its a new battery. It says 100% charged. As soon as I remove the cable it turns off. I have 2 wonderbooms in two different houses. The one in my first house used to connect and won’t anymore

I couldn’t pair my UE Boom after many years of being able to pair it with my iPad. What worked for me: I updated the speaker through my Windows PC. I selected to “forget this device” in the iPad Bluetooth settings, then I shut Bluetooth off on the iPad. Then turned it back on. Pressed the pairing button on my speaker and turned the Bluetooth back on in the iPad. It saw the speaker, so I selected it to pair it. It connected. Finally!

These things are shockingly bad with their bluetooth implementation. It’ll pair with one machine, but even after I unpair it, none of the other machines will see it until I factory reset it. For a device that advertises itself as being able to be used with multiple devices I’ve never seen any evidence its capable of this. Nothing else I’ve owned with bluetooth has been like this. Its a great sounding speaker , but its bluetooth is garbage.

My ultimate ears wonderboom is continuously turning itself up and down on its own so it’ll basically keep turning it up till it’s all the way up or turn it down until there is no sound

I'm having trouble charging my UE MEGABOOM 3. It fails to detect that it is plugged in to charge (white charging light not flashing, holding both volume buttons makes it tell me that it's critical battery, it doesn't register that it's charging on the companion app either). I tried resetting the speaker (by holding the volume button and the power button), but this seems to have no effect.

However, it does work while plugged in to charge. I don't know if it's just not registering that it's charging or what, but it went from completely flat to critical battery, so it's getting juice somehow.

Are there any known fixes to this problem, or will I have to get a new battery for it? Should I get a refund or replacement?

Tengo mi UE megaboom 2 y me encanta como suena, el único problema que tengo es que cuando llega al 50 o 40% de batería deja de sonar, y más si tiene todo el volumen, la bocina sigue prendida y sigue conectada, pero simplemente no se escucha, hay alguna solución a eso?

Hi, my Samsung A22 5G can’t connect to any ue boom speaker. When i try to connect with it via the bluetooth menu of the phone it tells me that this device needs an app to be able to use and when i go to the app it tells me to first connect with it using the bluetooth menu of the phone. So its sending me back and forward with no resolve.

What can i do in order for my device to connect to my boom speaker?

I have an UE Boom and an UE MEGABOOM.

I have both speakers and the phone up to date, charged and on pairing mode.

My device will not turn off. I tried the volume “-” plus power buttons and after six seconds the sound for reset comes on but the device still does not turn off. Suggestions?

My Ue Boom is always turning of when i start to play an music. Then the music stop automaticly. Then i wanna play it again, i tunr on the speaker and start but then happend the same. Sometims i can listen to 10 seconds or even less. Its not nice.

My Megaboom was showing red on the power button. I plugged it in to charge it, white light blinking and then finally solid white

When I went to turn it on, I got a sound like a gentle groan or sigh, the power light and blue tooth light came on, then 5 seconds later it turned off.

Same thing now for several tries.

I have a UE Boom 2, and the pairing button keeps flashing upon power up and will not cease. Also, battery check audible( both + - buttons held) will not sound.

I just purchased a wunderboom 3 and a megaboom 3. I can connect to both via Bluetooth from my iOS 15 device. However only the megaboom shows up in the ‘boom’ app. When I try to double up by holding down the middle buttons the megaboom says ‘you must be connected to the internet and using the app’. Both are true. Not sure what else to try. I don’t have a pc to upgrade the firmware, but I would think all updates happen via the boom app these days.

Long time ue boom owner. Had 3 of the original booms and 2 boom 2s. I hope the quality assurance is as good as it was 10 years ago.

Absolutely shocking when it comes to pairing devices especially a computer. I have 2 of these speakers and the bluetooth too often is un discoverable especially on a computer. The speakers are the only device i have ever had to break its bluetooth capability too. And i have tried all the suggestions!

This page was helpful, factory reset worked on the first attempt. Holding down button at same holding power was effective.

My Megaboom 3 will be playing music and after about an hour or so it starts saying "TO USE THIS FEATURE" ... and will repeating it constantly every minute. Then it will stop playing the music or pause the music every minute. Even when the speaker is turned off and turned off and turned back on, it will start saying that message again. How do I stop it from doing that?

I just bought a 2nd hand UE Boom and cannot connect it to the app, as it shows to be 'Unsupported'. App is updated, and all other Booms that I have play normally without issues.

I have paired it and I can connect it without issues to my phone directly thru Bluetooth. Music plays fine.

Mi bocina se quedo con el Foco blanco prendido, no habia manera de que funcionara, lo que hice fue retirar la tapa de abajo y desconectar la bateria y funciono nuevamente, lo malo es que se rempio el sello contra agua, no me afecta porque no la meto al agua....espero les sea de utilidad.

tengo el problema con una wonderboom3, se empareja al bluetooth pero después de reproducir 1 o 2 canciones deja de emitir sonido aunque tenga todo el volumen y la canción siga en reproducción, ya reinicie la bocina como lo indican con los botones y de todos modos se sigue pasando lo mismo, la bocina no tiene ni 1 semana que la adquirí y tengo ese problema, me gustaría saber si tiene alguna reparación o tengo que acudir directamente a una tienda para checar el problema, gracias :)

Hi, I do have two (2) UE boom gen. 1.

Both work fine and can use both “double up” and stereo mode. However, only one have “Bluetooth standby” and “playlist” functions in settings, while the other doesn’t.

FW version is 10.0.13 on both speakers.

Not sure if this has any correlation: when connected, the one without advanced functions mark “active” in blue in the app, while the other one doesn’t.

Any idea how to make both speakers behaving the same in the app?

My UE boom 2 connects to the iphone or any other device however it does not emit any sound. It does not even make the sound when I turn on the UE boom or when I turn it off. I have reset it and the problem persists.

The problem with my ue boom is no sound.

The device is turned on(despite not showing any light. It's able to connect to my phone via Blue tooth. When I control the volume on the speaker my volume indicator on my phone goes up accordingly. My phone says the battery is@60% .. but no light on device & no sound so it seems like it's totally dead.. if I didn't see my phone responding in kind I'd concur 🤪🤷🏽

.. still looking for the solution to this problem.. it used to work just fine, then nothing.. never been wet, dropped, ..🤷🏽

My app and phone are up to date, but remote power on from iphone 14 isn't working. I don't see a troubleshoot guide for this.

I got a boom 3 used. It was turning on last night but I was having a hard time connecting to it. The red light would randomly turn on so I thought it was dying. So when I got home I plugged it in and the charging light turned on so I left it plugged in and now it wont turn on.
