Controller Not Connecting to Xbox Console or Windows PC
The controller will not respond when plugged into Xbox console or Windows PC.
USB-C to USB Cable Not Plugged in Correctly
If the USB-C to USB cable is plugged in and not be being detected, try unplugging the cable and plugging it back into the console and the controller.
Using Incorrect Device Port
If the controller is not connecting double check to make sure it is plugged into the correct controller port on the Xbox console or Windows PC.
Defective USB-C to USB Cable
Your USB-C to USB cable may be defective. This won't power the controller. You will have to acquire a new USB-C to USB cable.
PDP Drivers Are Not Installed
If the device is not recognized on a Windows PC, download the PDP Controller Drivers from the PDP website, then install the drivers while the controller is plugged in to the computer.
Stick Drift
The controller thumbsticks are drifting when I am not touching the thumbstick.
Residue Buildup
Residue will start to build up on the base of the thumbsticks. Cleaning the thumbsticks with rubbing alcohol will eliminate any dirt or residue.
Button Latency
My buttons almost feel delayed when I press them.
Display Has a Low Refresh Rate
Low refresh rate's can cause latency when playing. On your console or Windows PC, locate your display settings and set the refresh rate to the highest rate that is offered by your display device.
Defective USB-C to USB Cable
Your USB-C to USB cable may be defective. This can delay controller inputs. You will have to acquire a new USB-C to USB cable.
Sticky Buttons
One or more of the face buttons take longer to press down and come back up.
Dirt and Particle Build Up
If the face buttons are taking longer to press or require more force, check around the button or any particle build up. Use rubbing alcohol either with a wipe or cotton swab and clean around each button that is not working properly. Reach the buttons with the Face Buttons replacement guide.
Delayed Response in Triggers
My triggers are taking more time to respond when I press them.
Residue Blocks Trigger
Take apart the device to access the triggers. Clean the triggers and spring to get rid of any build up.
Mute Button Not Muting
My mute button will not mute my microphone when I press it.
Mute Function Not Turned On
Locate the mute button on your device and double press the button twice. To unmute press the mute button twice again. The light on the button should turn red to indicate that mute functionality is turned on
Faulty Bumpers
My controllers bumpers feel like they are sticking when pressed.
Debris Blocks Bumper
Take apart the front shell of the device and locate the bumpers. Check for any debris that is stuck between the bumper and inner casing. Clean out the debris with a cotton swab or tweezers. Reassemble the device back together. To reach the bumpers use our Bumper replacement guide.
Back Buttons Not Responding Correctly
My back buttons do not respond to my input I have it set to.
Back Buttons Are Not Mapped
Download the PDP Control Hub application via the Microsoft store on PC or directly from the PDP website. Run the application while the device is plugged in. Locate the button mapping tab and select the buttons you want to map the back buttons to. To reach the back buttons use our Back Button replacement guide.
