Faulty Outlet / Charger
Hold your thought on blaming on the device! There may be nothing wrong with the camera. Make sure to check the outlet is providing electricity and charger is completely intact!
Faulty Charging Port
Maybe it is to blame the device. As charging ports for cameras are small and composed of tiny pieces, they are susceptible to any damage when unwanted force applied. If charging port is damaged, replacement of charging port is required.
Faulty Battery
Battery has limited lifespan. Overtime, it loses its total capacity. If this is the case, the battery requires replacement with a new battery.
Flash doesn’t work

Needing New Charging Cord

Replacing Battery
Batteries die eventually for every device even from normal use. If the charger is working and nothing else seems to be wrong with the camera, the battery may need to be replaced. Remove the battery and buy a new one.
Damaged Motherboard
If the battery and cord are working, the motherboard of the camera may be damaged. This can be caused from water damage, dropping the camera or harming it in any serious way. This component is vital to the camera working and without it, nothing works. Consider replacing it.
Camera Display Doesn't Turn On
LCD display is dim or not on at all after powering up
Unresponsive Screen Display Button
While charging the camera (to ensure the device has power throughout the troubleshooting process), click the screen display button once to turn on the LCD and once more to turn off. If there is no response the faulty button may need to be replaced or thoroughly cleaned.
LCD display is on but barely visible
If the screen is barely visible yet still displaying an image the issue may be to change display brightness within camera settings.
Camera is powered on but LCD won't display at all
The camera's LCD may be damaged internally due to physical or water damage. This scenario will require a replacement screen be installed.
Cannot see through viewfinder
When looking through the viewfinder, nothing is displayed.
Power is off
Because the image in the viewfinder is digitally produced, the camera is required to be powered on for the viewfinder to function properly. Ensure the camera’s ON/OFF switch is set to the ON position. The red LED located directly under the switch is illuminated when the camera is turned on.
Auto LVF (also known as Live Viewfinder) time out
The viewfinder is programmed to turn off If no operations are performed during a set time period. Pressing the [LVF] button located directly to the right of the viewfinder will re-initiate the viewfinder.
Faulty Eye Sensor input
The eye sensor is a narrow vertical lens located in the same housing and next to the viewfinder. The eye sensor enables the automatic viewfinder switch by detecting your approaching eye. Some objects may interfere with the sensors functionality and cause the viewfinder to malfunction. Eyeglasses or bright lighting around the sensor may cause interference as well as the angle of the monitor screen. If suspected interference, make sure the display monitor is seated properly and reduce the light reaching the sensor by positioning yourself in such a way to block out as much light reaching the sensor as possible. If the problem persists, try changing the eye sensor sensitivity through the following settings:
[MENU] > [Custom] > [Eye Sensor] >[Sensitivity]

Autofocus not working. I have checked all of the menu items dealing with AF. I don’t get the green focus lock indicator (one aspect of AF not working).
