Computer Will Not Turn On

The laptop will not respond or turn on when power button is pressed.

Faulty Battery

If the laptop powers up only when the adapter is plugged in, regardless of time spent charging, then the battery is faulty. Replace the battery using this guide.

Faulty Power Adapter

Ensure the power adapter is plugged in, and the charge light is on. If the light is not on, and the adapter is plugged in, then the adapter is faulty. Consider purchasing a replacement adapter.

Issue with overheating

If your fan is overheating quickly after a short period of usage, then you will need to replace your fan. See how to replace your computer's fan here.

Screen Will Not Turn On

The screen on your computer will not turn on, even if your laptop is powered up.

Screen is Cracked

If your screen is badly cracked, then you will need to replace your screen. Refer to this guide to help with replacing your screen.

Device Will Not Connect Over USB

Your computer is not connecting an external device through the USB Port.

USB Port Has Become Unseated

If you try and connect another device through your computer's USB Port and it won' work, then your USB Port might be unseated. View this guild to see how to reseat your USB Port.

Keyboard Will Not Respond

Your keyboard will not respond when you type.

Jammed Keys

If your keys are stuck in the pressed position, then you will need to remove the Key Face, and look to see what is jamming the key down.

Missing Keys

If one or more of your Key Faces is missing, then you will need to buy a replacement Key Face, and place it back onto your keyboard.

Speakers Will Not Play Sound

Your speakers are not playing sound, even if your computer says that it is sending information to the speakers.

Blown Out Speakers
