Wacom Intuos Pro fails to charge

Wacom won’t indicate charger connection

Wacom’s Battery level wont rise after charging

Faulty Charger

If the Charger is connected to the device, but doesn't seem to be giving any power to it, the charger itself may be broken or not working. The best way to test this is to use the charger on another device to see if it will charge to second device.

USB Charger Port

It may be that the device’s USB port might not be working. If you think the issue might be your charger, try testing the charger on another device to see if it works. If the second device is receiving a charge, then there is a good chance that it is your charging port that is having technical issues. What you can also do is try restarting your tablet, which might fix the issue.

Dead Battery

If neither of the fixes above correct your problems, the battery itself may be no longer working. to test this, plug the device in, let it sit for 15-20 minutes and then try and turn the device on. Once the device is on, unplug the charger, and see if the device stays on or turns right back off. If the device will not stay on, then the battery will need to be changed.

Slow response time/ Lagging Movements

Wacom takes a long time to sense movement

Wacom won’t show movement at all on computer screen

Software issue or Update

Sometimes, your entire device may seem like it is on the fritz, and that can occasionally be related to the software that the device is running. If your device is running an older version of the software, that could be the issue, and a simple software update can fix that.

Motherboard issue

If a software update does not fix your issues, you may have a more internal problem related to your motherboard. Do a software update, followed by a hard reset of the device. To reset the Wacom Intuos Pro, use the reverse side of the Pro Pen 2's Nib to reset the tablet. Insert the reversed Nib straight into the hole and press firmly feeling the reset button depress. Hold for 10-15 seconds until the power light on the tablet turns off, then release. If this does not work, the next step would be to replace the motherboard within the device itself.

Unexpected clicking

Wacom may appear to click randomly on computer screen

Wacom will not react to button use

Wacom’s buttons intermittently work

Old Buttons/ Stuck Buttons

The Wacom is equipped with a total of 9 buttons, including the main button in the center. these buttons control the functions of your Wacom device, and allow you to operate it with ease. Sometimes the buttons may become stuck in a certain position, and may no longer be in working order. The buttons could also become lodged in the pressed position and cause the rest of the tablets functions to begin acting up. if this happens, there is no need to fret, all it will take it a simple button replacement.

Screen mapping Incorrect

Screen clicks appear in different areas then they are supposed to

Wacom doesn’t select the area it’s supposed to when you press on the touchpad

Mouse appears to move to different areas when same spot is pressed on Wacom

Hard shutdown/ reboot

The Wacom Intuos pro uses a touchpad type screen to allow you the use of your pen to operate the device. Sometimes however, you may be touching in the center of the Wacom’s screen, and your cursor may be someplace completely different on your computer screen. The first step is to try and reset your device and see if that fixes the problem.

Touchpad Errors

If a hard shutdown does not seem to fix the screen mapping issues, your underlying cause may be the touchpad itself. the touchpad can get worn down and scratched over time causing issues with its age. To fix this issue, you would have to do touch pad replacement.

Touch Pad is none responsive/ Bent Casing

Wacom is bent or curved

Wacom no longer sits flat on the table

Wacom has been dropped or bent in some way

The tablet has been dropped

Sometimes accidents happen and your device may take a tumble or get bent beyond return. if that happens, there is no need to throw away the whole device. All you need to do is replace your case and get your Wacom looking brand new and spiffy. Also, you might need to replace your touchpad, if it is damaged.

I upgraded my Mac Mini to Catalina 10.15.7 and now now I get a message “No device detected”

My wacom tablet has power but does not work.

I tried plugging imnto other USB ports but have had no luck.

Does the current version of Intuos Pro software not work with Catalina 10.15.7?

None of these are the issue. The issue is that when Mac updates Wacom doesn't keep up. I have 2 different tablets 2 different cords neither one of them will charge. Wacom charges a lot of money for their tablets but can't seem to spend money on people to keep up with Apple.
