I was a bit concerned about taking this on, but with some technical background and worst case a new phone I figured I'd go for it. I have to say I was glad I ordered the complete front assembly kit! Getting that front screen off without damaging the LCD is no easy task! READ THE INSTUCTIONS! Watch the videos! Know the steps BEFORE you start. Have a safe container nearby for the tiny screws holding the circuit assembly together. Use care on all the internal parts. Might seem self evident, but the repair will get expensive if you start breaking things. CAREFULLY clean off all the old adhesive to a clean surface per the directions. Be very careful with the adhesive strips! These are easily damaged as they are coated with adhesive on both sides. I wish the instructions for the adhesive had been a bit more detailed, but if you take your time it kind of makes sense how one stiff side plastic peels off easy and the other has tabs to hold and position before applying pressure to adhere it to the frame. I used a tool to lightly press the adhesive into place before exposing the second side. The trick here is not to pull off the adhesive, just the second plastic layer. Try to avoid touching the adhesive surface with your fingers while getting all the adhesive in place. Then carefully align the front or back before applying pressure. Use a light touch here until you know you're aligned, then press into place. I came to my senses and ordered a new battery before reassembly. Trust me, for the hassle of doing this repair, it's not worth it to not replace the battery too. Since I already had the front glass kit, I did not need the kit for the battery. The battery was reasonably priced, so why not?
