I received a legitimate HP-branded replacement battery, but I was unable to get it to work properly. The battery would only charge to ~70%, and sometimes stop charging altogether until I re-seated the battery. Because of this, I was unable to calibrate the battery. The iFixit staff and team was really helpful to get me a replacement, but again I had the same issue. Not sure if it was an issue with the battery itself, or some issue with my laptop. Finally, I was sent an off-brand replacement which I was able to charge to 100% and properly calibrate. I would like to thank the iFixit team for their help and patience, but not sure why their HP-branded batteries are not working properly.
