iPad 9 Screen Digitizer

The digitizer worked fine and the instructions were helpful. However, this is the third screen I have repaired with the tools and the suction cups are worthless at getting these off. They often create more shattering and lead to the job becoming even harder. The warming packs seem ineffective at softening the glue unless you heat them repeatedly and leave them sit for significantly longer than the instruction state. Overall, good parts and good instructions but poor tools that result in the job taking much longer.

Perfect fit, but one of the digitizer cables is a tiny bit shorter than OEM. Be careful when clam shelling the parts back together as the added tension on the cable can cause it to unseat while putting the shield back in place. Also, the screen comes with a home button harness, gasket, camera surround and adhesive strips. No need to but separately. For a truly broken screen, set aside lots of time for initial screen removal as the glass will continue to shatter as it is pulled up from the iPad frame. I found that having a second set of the guitar picks helped a ton in spreading out the prying force on all the jagged points that reached the edge of the screen. Total replacement time for me was 3.5 hours. The lions share of that spend on glass removal and glue scraping.
