To be fair, I don't know if it is from my failure to install the battery correctly or if the battery is not charging because something is wrong with it. I am not very tech savvy. My kindle paperwhite is 9 years old and the battery was not holding its charge anymore. I bought the replacement battery and tools and watched a youtube video how to replace the battery. Everything seemed to go well. The light indicates that the battery is charging but I've charged the kindle for several hours and it will not turn on. And the battery light is still orange.
