The replacement battery installed without difficulty, and the Lenovo laptop has been running like new for the past week and a half. Very happy and relieved that the fix was this straightforward, especially considering how much the laptop keyboard had started bulging when the old battery went bad. (Yes, old laptop batteries can end up bulging a lot, sigh.) It's all good now!
