Apple Watch (42 mm Series 3 GPS) Battery

I am giving 1 star because the tools and battery work great. However, the adhesive used to attach the screen to the display does not work at all. I followed the guide to a T by cleaning everything with 99% alcohol and using heat with pressure to make sure the screen adhered to the body. Even going as far as leaving the iOpener on the watch till it was very hot and putting a 15-pound weight on it overnight. Which did not seem todo anything since the screen popped off after a few hours of wearing it. Honestly, this is a huge letdown as I have been a big user of Ifixit over the years and to see them selling low-quality stuff sucks. If you are reading this just buy a new watch, at least you will know the display will stay on.

It’s a great kit, it has everything you need to replace the battery!! I’m very happy, my Apple Watch has come back to life :)

It was difficult. Took me about an hour and a half just to remove the screen glass. I reheated the iopener several times during the process to get the glue to soften enough to remove the screen. The battery install was fairly simple. The adhesive re-install was also very difficult. I’m not sure that it will be waterproof after my install.
