Some videos say to use adhesive, but these strips are what you really need. The instructions, however, should add instructions for installing these strips. For example, you really need to install the strips on the back before connecting the display to the motherboard, then connect the display, remove the top plastic backing and finally marrying the 2 halves. Also, put a note with the parts kits about these strips. I almost missed them!
