black screen after updating, everything else still works

i recently got an iphone 12 pro max, and the seller said there was a software issue. when i received the device it was completely dead so i charged it for a while and connected to 3u tools, turned on voiceover and everything seems to work fine, touch, sounds, vibrations, but the screen remains black. dfu mode does not work and recovering with itunes showed the apple logo but again did not show any screen when restarting. it apppears to be an aftermarket screen. any way to fix it or only sending it to apple?

Hi

Does it show up in iTunes when you plug it in?

Yup sure does

@Yves Lauwereyns

Does it give you the option to update it?

If so have you tried it?

Okay so after hours of searching, turns out iOS 16 does not support hard OLED displays, downgrading to iOS 15.6.1 worked
