Power Button Sunken - how can I fix this?

MacBook Pro 17" Unibody Late 2011I

ve noticed after having my macbook over a year even though I take very good care of it the power button no longer sits flush and sometimes get stuck at an angle. It works but does not sit flush like it is supposed to. I searched this site and also google but no luck. Anyone know how to fix this?

There are two black Phillips screws holding the plate backing the button in place. Remove them and reseat the button. It's just hold in place by the back plate and a lip around the back of the button, note the position of the tab which keeps it straight. Just don't damage the printed circuit it pushes into. If you need a photo of this, just ask.

A DIY repair of the button, to return some of the "spring" or a DIY replacement of a better button from a top case with other defects are about your choices.
