Replacing the DVD Drive

I want to replace a DVD drive on Wii U that keeps ejecting the discs. I wanted to know if the circuit board will need to be swapped from the original drive to new one also? Like for the Xbox 360 and PS3

I've been checking this out myself and i can confirm that the circuit board in the dvd housing does need to be replaced.
