Which boot device to choose?

Hi, when turning my laptop on this morning I'm faced with a blue square asking me to choose a boot device:

-P0: WDC WD5000BPVT-80HXZT1

-P2: MATSHITADVD-RAM UJ8A0ASW

-Enter Setup

I'm not sure what to do or what to choose. Any help would be welcome!

Also will I loose all the data on my laptop? I have all my sons pictures since he was born :(

Answered! View the answer I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hello Pititemel

The first option (P0: WDC WD5000BPVT-80HXZT1) is what you want. This is the Hard drive where all of your data is stored.

The other option is your DVD drive. This option might come up if you leave a DVD or CD in the drive and restart the computer.

If you have very important data (sons pictures since he was born ) Once you have the computer booting back into Windows please make a backup to an external hard drive. If you don't have one please buy one.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for your answer. My bf managed to sort it out by entering the set up then esc.

I'm definitely going to buy an external hard drive ;)

Thanks again!
