I literally just smacked on my keyboard while it was off. Turned it back on and it worked. 🤣🤣🤣

Step 1: Check if Wi-Fi is connected

First of all, you have to turn on your Chromebook. And then, you need to click the status area, and pay attention toWi-Fi icon. If there is a Wi-Fi on sign, it proves your Chromebook is connected to a network and You don’t need to do the next step. If there is a Wi-Fi off icon, it proves your Chromebook cannot connect, and you need to do next step.

Step 2: Turn on Wi-Fi and Pick a network and connect

First of all, turn on your Wi-Fi, Next, you need to click the Wi-Fi off icon and click No network. Then, you need to click Turn Wi-Fi on… or the Enable Wi-Fi icon Wi-Fi signal off, and your Chromebook will automatically look for available networks and show them to you in a list. After you turn on your Wi-Fi, your Chromebook will look for a network to connect to.

Step 3: Check your Wi-Fi signal source

If your Wi-Fi still not connected, you need to check your Wi-Fi signal source. Maybe you need to connect the staffs of network company.

I had one that connected to the wifi but didn't work on the internet. I tried a factory reset, and that worked.

Anyone know what I can do? I’ve only had this laptop for 6weeks and this is happening until last night it won’t find any wi-fi networks.

Ive done a washout if that’s what it’s called and still get the same thing.

this is happening to me, i rang support and they weren't helpful at all. Needed to pay 50 pound even though I haven't done anything to it. Did you figure out a wayto fix it? :-(

Same exact problem I'm having. It's a school district chromebook for my son and worked fine yesterday thrn all of a sudden I couldn't login bc ut was not connected to wifi and when I tried to turn it on it didnt show the scan list of available networks and the only option it gave me was to manually input and set up a VPN (no clue on that). Help!!!

Also, then I shut it down m restarted and i had the same exact issue on my screen as Rebecca Ogden where it now only allowed manual unlit of a network, but now I could input a WPA, EAS I think it was and a WEP....I know my wifi has wpa printed on it so I tried to manually input it and got the same error. Network error no connection. So I'm at a loss please help my sons missing so much virtual school over this...

Power off your Chromebook (I did a powerwash of my Chromebook before shutting it down) and Router. I have EERO Pro mesh for my router/network. I disconnected the power wire and ethernet cable from my main EERO router, waited a minute, then plugged them back in. I waited until all my EERO mesh points were back to the white light. Then, I turned my Chromebook on, found my network, input the password, and connected immediately and was able to set up my Chromebook.
