unable to turn on touch id

Took an ipad mini 3 on partial trade for an ipad 2 i had fixed. The front was smashed, Replaced the dizitizer, home button and screen. Everything works great but every time you turn it on it says "unable to turn on touch ID" i assume this is because the home button was replaced. I don't care about the touch ID at all. Is there a way to get it not to display the message?

Answer this question I have this problem too

You replaced the home button, that's it. Nobody can make it work again.

This could be an error message in iOS 10, apple has found a new way to annoy people.

Touch Id is Disabled in settings. if you try to enable it the message pops up.

Everything else works fine, it just pops up that message every time you turn it on
