TV Screen damage and Screen went black

I have a LG-55ec9300 since 2015. My Grand Son threw a toy at the screen and it took a piece out of the screen (like a stone on a car window). The screen then went to a vertical thin vertical light then the screen went black. No response from the screen since then. Is there a replacement screen of a repair?

@rwalters31,Richard, Very sorry about your TV's mishap. This is a very expensive TV at over $3000.00 when new, you may want to check your home owners insurance to see if it can be repaired/replaced through accidental policy or similar(depending on deductible) as a screen replacement is a very expensive venture if a replacement screen is even available. With this new of TV if you end up having to replace entirely, it may be well worth listing broken TV on Ebay/Amazon/etc. for good parts to recoup some cash. I did find a link below with what I believe is the replacement display/screen which is over $3000.00 before tax, for this reason would not be cost effective to do repair. Sorry could not be of more help and Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

I would suggest a new tv.

Replacement screens are very rare and if you are lucky enough to find one, its normally more than a new tv.

So your best bet is to take it to some electronic recycler to properly dispose of it and purchase a new tv.

Hope this answered your question!
