My daughter has a Polaroid Snaptouch camera, the camera has locked up, won't power off, and the display panel is stuck, The camera has started to get very hot. There doesn't appear to be any way to reset it or to take the battery out. Any suggestions?

There is a reset button on the bottom of the camera located right next to the charging port. You will neeed a needle or a bent paper clip to reach it

Better late than never.... Same issue with my daughter's camera. I took the front and back housing off, and there is a piece of thin sheet metal around the lens that covers most of the PCB underneath. It's held on by ~4 small screws. Remove them and pull the shield off. You should see two small patches of thermal grease on the back side, and two of the chips should have grease as well. The sheet metal, for reasons I cannot fathom, was designed so as to not contact one of the chips without being pressed into it by the housing. Over time, everything simply gets more compliant, and eventually, you get a poor thermal connection to the chip, and it overheats. I think I was able to solve it with some creative tweaking of the sheet metal bends to ensure good contact. I also augmented the grease with some extra I had in my computer supplies. It now seems to work.
Crappy design though.
