kitchen soap pump not working
The soap pump at the kitchen sink does not pump. It has been out of use with liquid soap in it.
Is this a good question?

@fawn, Bruce, Submerge the pump assy. in hot water as the soap in the tube and pump mechanism has probably become thick and clogging the pump. after about a 2 hours start pumping the pump while still submerged to unclog. Empty soap reservoir and add new fresh soap to dispenser, install pump and give it a try. May have to pump forcefully until the pump starts to draw the soap back up. If all else fails and actual pump mechanism is determined broken, consider replacing unit with a new one stocked at hardware and big box stores. Links below give more info on trouble shooting soap dispenser and 3rd link is just one site showing replacement sink soap dispensers. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

Thank you, that is what I was thinking of doing.
@fawn, Bruce, thanks for replying back, has worked for me in the past. Good luck.
I just fixed my delta dispenser by taking apart the pump assembly using a small screwdriver to separate the two parts. Everything looked nice and clean from the soaking and flushing. I lubed up the o-ring and the barrel it slides in with Vaseline and put it back together. Works like new. It takes a bit to prime the pump but good as new, didn't realize how bad it slowly got until now.
I had the same problem, and tried everything from soaking the pump mechanism to trying to take it apart to making sure the tubing was clear. What finally worked was I added some hot water to the liquid soap in the container, stirred it up by sticking a long chopstick down there, and now it works fine. So it appears the liquid soap, which is Ajax, was just too thick. So now I just need to remember when I refill it to add a little bit of hot water like half a cup is what I added, and it seems to work fine.
You should try to get a new sink or replace the tube underneath the sink. Or try this. Mercedes W123 Windshield Washer Fluid Bottle and/or Pump Replacement
