Easy fit speaker connectors

My Philips hts3544 receiver recently started going haywire and switching to mode after mode but the speakers worked fine. Is it possible to use the speakers from it on a different receiver that doesn't use the easy fit connectors by removing them from the speaker ends? Or will this just ruin the speakers? Any help is appreciated.

Yes you can, as the speakers are analog. You should be able to cut the connectors off and use them on any amp or receiver. However, the current receiver may apply digital affects to make them sound better, so using them on a new receiver might not sound as good. That may not be true, though.

Hope this helps!
