Its not mounted on the screen directly, its sandwiched between the case and the screen. Here's an image of it from the Apple Watch Series 3 Teardown

@emile_hoff - Did you damage it somehow? Apple has done a great job controlling the watch parts! ;-{
Other than locating a junker to swapout the needed part, there's little you can do.
