shannonrolee we need to get more information from you. If you turn your TV on and it turns off, it is most likely a power board issue. If it turns on and off repeatedly you will have to check the power board and the main board. You also need to tell us if this is just your screen that turns on/off but have sound because that could be a bad back light. Eventually you need to remove the back of your TV. Check all the boards for obvious damage like dome looking or leaking capacitors etc. Post some good images of your boards with your question. Magnavox 50” 5 yrs old. Worked fine last night, then this morning it turned on with sign saying “not registered, hold in ok button for 3 seconds. I have dish satellite. It keeps turning off after this message in exactly 3 seconds each time. Checked plugs, all good shape but won’t even let me get to settings before it turns off. Dish says it’s my tv not dish. Held it down 3 seconds on magnavox remote and pressed ok but it just turns off.....what’s wrong? Unhooked and put a 40” tv in front, hooked up with same stuff that 50” had and works fine. Whatever is wrong it’s the tv.. should I do a reset?

@danielromej and what is wrong with it? What have you checked? This is now 5 years old and we still don't have enough information.the very first sentence in my answer 5 years ago was and still is "we need to get more information from you". Would you like to actually get this fixed?
