Interesting that your tv and mine (exact model) started doing this at the exact same time. I'm thinking its more firmware related than a hardware issue.

by

@prindlecat Mine did the same, during roughly the same timeframe. I am with you, it must be software. That being said, there's a new update out now and it fixed my TV. I've been playing shows for 3 hours solid now, no turning off..

Before it'd turn off constantly

by

Mine is doing the exact same thing. 1.5 years after purchase.

by

Seems I am experiencing the same issue. I had this tv same 1.5 years about. It went in standby mode and it's stuck. All I'm getting is blue light. I turned it off for hours, removed batteries from control, disconnected all cables (I had it connected as second screen for my laptop) and nothing. When I plug in I get red light for a couple of secs and back into blue light...not sure what else I can do. Before it would work after disconnecting a few times.

Mine is doing the same thing! Bought 11/17/18! Very disappointing to have this $400+ TV crash less than 3 years after purchase!!

@unique321 sounds like an issue with the power board. You do want to go ahead and post some good pictures of your boards as well as the interconnect cables etc.with your question. Adding images to an existing question

Next you want to measure the output from the power board to the main board. For the voltages check the values that are silk screened onto the board. Let us know what you find.

Update (06/23/2019)

check the fuse to ensure that your board gets power and if so check the voltages on the connector against the value printed on the board

and if you need it here is the schematic for your power board. Let us know if you need help with that. Power-Supply-Hisense-RSAG7.820.pdf

Issue happened to me too at the same time on the same TV… I’m questioning if it’s a hardware item that wears out, or if it was a software issue..

Update (07/30/2019)

@unique321 IT’S FIXED!!!

There was two potential solutions, I do not know which one fixed the TV, but it’s definitely working again.

Firstly, I had the TV unplugged for about a week, this made no difference, but I think it’s important to be clear about the state of the TV when I repaired it.

I plugged the TV in today and factory reset it. I then was able to connect a wired ethernet cable to the TV and connect to the Internet. I quickly jumped into Settings and was about to check for a software update when I noticed a strange prompt in the bottom left-hand side of the TV asking if I wanted to reduce power or power down the TV, the choices were “Yes” and “Never ask again”, I decided out of caution to select “Never ask again”. I have never seen this prompt before, but since it was related to the power state of the TV, I had to mention it..

As soon as I checked for a software update I received one! Update is 9.1.0 Build 4121-38, the previous firmware on this TV was 9.0.0 Build 4151-38; so a decent incremental update occured after I connected to the Internet!

After performing these two steps, I have now been streaming Netflix in 4K for over 1 hour, something that was nigh possible before!

I hope this helps others!

PS: My set is a LC-50LBU591C which is the Canadian model

I'm not sure if it'll help but I found this on youtube a little while ago. https://youtu.be/Z1DEkSguWtg It shows him testing each wire with a multimeter to try and diagnose the issue. I just was given a broken tv the other day so I just started looking into it, but hopefully that video can provide someone with some useful information. I also stumbled upon https://www.shopjimmy.com which doesn't appear to be a scam so might be a good place to buy replacement parts.
