Battery light on warning

Hello everybody,

Few days ago I drove my car almost 30 minutes with battery light on until the engine was switched off. I recharged the battery but now I don't know what i have to check regarding this light.

Can you give me some tips , how i can do a debug?:)

Thank you.

All the best,

Marius

All batteries need replacement at some point, whether in your TV remote, or you car, they degrade due to the chemical processes they go through to produce their charge. If you have a volt meter you can run a few tests. Set it to Volts DC and put the corresponding leads on the terminals. A car batteries should read a minimum of 12.4 Volts. You can also test the alternator with the volt meter. If you can get the car started again, do the same test again. The alternator should put out 12.6-14.4 volts. Most auto parts stores also offer free battery and alternator testing as well.

My car battery actually died just yesterday so I had to replace mine as well. Good luck!
