No audio No Vibrate

I replaced the battery and lightening-headphone Jack. Worked for awhile then No speaker output for incoming ringtone. No vibration either.

Screen shows caller ID upon receiving a call and the Volume controls are active onscreen just as they should be. The Mute switch toggles as it should and also appears on the screen.

I get ringtones and notifications if I’m linked to my Nyne Bluetooth speaker or my car Sony deck

I have sound if my earbuds are plugged in as well

Are the audio and vibrate lines contained on the same buss? Help me out

It's either the connections for the charging port or a defective charging port. The tapic engine and speaker are powered through the charging port connector/lightning connector.

Sweet. I had a strong hunch that one of the flex cable/connector buses that were separated during disassembly didn’t seat correctly and lost continuity.

I recall also also having difficulty with reassembling a few injection molded structural support parts (Tiny!!) That fit next to the charging port. Had an Itty bitty gasket and I don’t recall the rest other than it being totally frustrating and cheeky

Don’t know if that affected my current sitrep.

So does cracking it back open and reseating connectors then opcheck sound about right?

Many suggestions on links for visual references of the target (buss) connectors?

Appreciate ya Brother

I would try checking the connections for damaged pins with a magnifying glass and then clean the the connector with a qtip and alcohol and a soft brush

The same issue happened to me. I removed the speaker, scratched the contacts under it, then reinstalled it. It seems to have fixed it.

I had the exact same issue after replacing the battery, no vibration or sound. Turns out the connector next to the battery connector wasn’t seated properly and just needed pressed down on.
