Led strip replacement question

LG TV - 55LF6000UB Have blinking LED’s so was in process of replacing the LED strips but discovered a 4 inch burn hole in the reflector sheet and also the plastic light filter has some burn damage. Is this still just a LED strip problem? Can I continue and replace the strips or is this now a fire hazard. Thank you.

@beiss5 the burning is over and done with. That happened due to some critical failure with the old LEDs. You can continue with replacing the strips. Only issue is that you will have a darker spot on your screen due to the burned diffuser sheet. At least clean some of the soot off and see what happens.

Try replacing the LED strip, it might work. As a last resort, give it to professionals for repair.
