Display flipped after replacement

After following the screen replacement guide here: Fitbit Charge 2 Touch Screen Assembly Replacement, the display is flipped, dim, and has a vertical bar of static on the right side.

I have tried reseating the ribbon cable several times, with the same result each time. Before removing the old screen, it displayed correctly. I’m not sure what else to try to fix this problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

There was no problem with the new display, the problem was in software. To fix this problem, I did a factory reset of the device. To do that, I followed the guide here: https://www.lifewire.com/how-to-factory-...

  1. Go to the Fitbit website www.fitbit.com and log in.
  2. Select the gear icon in the top-right of the screen and then select the device to be reset in the drop down menu.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select the option to remove the device from the account.
  4. Add the device back to the account as was done for initial setup.

The guide for factory reset is outdated; www.fitbit.com redirects to store.google.com, so you cannot use this website to reset anymore.

Seems that there are three possibilities to reset, but this needs confirmation:

1) Use the Fitbit app to sync the device, then remove it from the app and set up a new device.

2) While plugged in and charging, hold the physical button until the unit resets.

3) Use the Fitbit Connect app for Mac or Windows
