The March 2015 update of Apple's 13" MacBook Air features fifth generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, resulting in slightly increased performance and battery life.

MacBook Air won't turn on, charger is indicating fully charged

Hi!

My MacBook Air 2015 13’’ is having issues with turning on. I went on holiday for a week, and when I got back I turned it on and it started fine. An hour or so later I turned it back on and after using it for about 10 minutes everything just suddenly turned off.

It wasn’t low on battery however I plugged it into the charger and let it charge for a while, it is now showing fully charged however I am unable to turn it on. I have tried fully powering it off and turning it back on but still no luck. I have tried resetting the NVRAM and SMC but still no luck. Recovery mode also had no response. I am planning to book it into an apple store but before I do was wondering if anyone had any solutions or ideas?

Any help would be much appreciated,

thanks! :)

Most likely your battery just went bad sitting. Let’s do this, follow this guide MacBook Air 13" Early 2015 Battery Replacement to Step 3 then put your system on its side so the MagSafe port is up. Now press the power button for a good 10 secs with nothing connected, now plug in your charger the system should spontaneously start, did it?

If it did shut it down plug in the battery and charger, restart the system again if it won’t start you need a new battery for sure MacBook Air 13" (Late 2010-2017) Battery

If it does let’s check things, install this gem of an app! CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the apps main window and post it here for us to see Adding images to an existing question
