The March 2015 update of Apple's 13" MacBook Air features fifth generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, resulting in slightly increased performance and battery life.

Logic Board Upgrade Question

Hi all,

My brothers Macbook Air (early 2015) has had some problems with the logic board and its beyond repair.

The specs are i5 - 1.6GHz - 4ram.

My question is: Can i replace my logic board with a i7 - 2.2GHz - 8ram ?

I have found a used logic board from eBay which came from an early 2015 macbook air and has the same serial number and looks the same.

would it need any software programming or formatting after that or Is it just plug and play thing?

Best,

Panagiotis
