I have an Acer Aspire 3 A315-21-95LK (Part Number: NX.GNVET.046). According to the official datasheet the maximum memory supported is 12 GB (4 GB onboard + 8 GB in slot), has anyone tried to install more than that? Did it work?

@dinoo_fixit people have upgraded with 16GB module (supported). So you would end up with 20GB total RAM. Anything above that may not be supported by the BIOS.

Officially the 16 GB module is not supported, but as it looks as someone succeeded, I'll try

Did computers run faster after memory upgrade?
@jr1958 it will not have a large impact on the computers speed.
@oldturkey03 It's based on the CPU with 2x+ SODIMM or soldered+SODIMM config these days so not new. This is why I shun anything partially soldered; you can squeeze 32GB out of them because the machine isn't hampered.
This is why I write off machines like the Lenovo "s" series too; they're either fully soldered now, or partially. Add a 1/2" to the laptop and put dual slots in. Lenovo/HP/Dell may not admit this is why they partially solder the RAM, but this is **WHY** -- they're trying to stop us from loading "16GB" laptops with 32GB.

You can upgrade your Acer Aspire 3 A315-21 Laptop to up to a maximum memory capacity of 12GB Memory.
The Laptop has 2 Slots ("1 Upgradable") to install memory, already with 4GB (Soldered) standard memory installed. For best Aspire 3 A315-21 Laptop performance use the maximum amount of 12GB, fill all the slots with the max allowed memory per slot for your Laptop.

I know that officially only 12GB are supported, but some laptops support more than officially stated, so I was asking if someone had tried to install more than 12 GB and in case what happened
nothing happens it's like me giving u a glass of water and u can only drink 1/4 the glass u still have 3/4 of it just cant use that 3/4 good for backup but not rated to be used Cuz Ur limited by the board
