Hi
If your dyson isn’t staying in the upright position it’s one of the mechanisms that may have failed

Skip ahead to 20:30 in the video but I do recommend doing the full seat down as it’s fairly simple and it breathes new life into the machine
At 20:30 it will show you the change over valve area ,it’s hard to pinpoint what part of it has failed but it should be fairly obvious when you see it
