This may be a translation issue, but can you explain more about your statement that "won't make the battery last"? Do you mean the battery doesn't hold a charge for very long?
Have you verified that it's actually the battery that's overheating and not something else - specifically the motherboard? You may have to open the display to determine exactly where the heat is coming from. If you do, you should check the battery for any sign of swelling; the battery will be pillowy rather than the covering being tight around the battery.
Should you find that it's the battery that's overheating or it shows signs of swelling, then it's definitely time for a new one. They have a limited lifetime and if you haven't changed it yet, you're probably due for a replacement.
