A Desktop PC built from off-the-shelf DIY parts, rather than a prebuilt from a major manufacturer. These can also be built by a system integrator using off-the-shelf parts.

Pc won't turn on fully

So my pc hard crashed recently and froze and wouldn't respond to power button or restart button so I flipped the power switch on the back. Unplugged one of my monitors and only my mouse and keyboard not the headphones and it turned on only to do the exact same thing after 20 minutes. But now when I try to do the same I flip the power switch and it only turns on the motherboard and nothing else when it should turn on that the graphics card and the fans. They only turn on as if I had just shut down the pc when I press the power button on the front of the pc

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

What is your CPU, motherboard, graphics card model make, model number, etc. Does the CPU model have graphics capabilities?

First disconnect everything, including hard drive and DVD drive, except for RAM the power supply. Any peripheral that is shorted or is not connected correctly can effect the entire system

Does the system turn on and stay on? If nothing could be the power supply itself.

Or "No" then turn off with power switch and reseat RAM modules seperately and try again.

If yes then add the graphics card. Does it work? If yes then good if no defective graphics card.

Just add one item at a time until faulty device is discovered.

A PC motherboard speaker will "beep" to give error codes which you can look up for your motherboard/BIOS version.

Hi @sixthdino ,

First PC ? O.K that is fine. We all have to start somewhere. Watch some YouTube videos to get an idea of what is involved in building a PC, removing and inserting components, etc. You'll will learn about static discharge and grounding yourself. Don't touch the CPU for now.

A question and some info.

The Intel Z590 is the chipset on the motherboard but what brand (you know ASUS, Gigabyte, etc.) is the motherboard. It should be printed somewhere on the board. Just look around.

The Intel Core i7-10700K CPU has an integrated ( meaning part of the CPU) Intel UHD Graphics 630 chipset. There will be a separate graphics port on the motherboard so you can connect your monitor or TV to it after you take out the Nvidia 3060ti card.
