Laptop power lights turns on but no screen
I have an Acer Aspire V3-772G, and I recently did some upgrading on the motherboard. I am very fond of this laptop, so I usually just take it apart to look at all the parts sometimes, and I have the proper tools also. But I go to turn on the laptop now and the power light turns on like it's supposed to, but I get no power to the screen. I try shutting down the laptop using the power button and I get no response from it, it just stays on.
Update (01/01/2023)
So I figured out that the problem was a mixture of a dead RTC/CMOS Battery and a loose cable connection in the display
Is this a good question?

Perhaps you miss reconnecting one of the cables properly when reassembling. Do any other lights come, the fan spinning, etc.?

Only the power light on the power button and the power light on the palmrest. No CPU fan sounds, no HDD sounds, no ODD sounds.

Did it work after the "upgrading" or not?
What upgrades did you do?
Did you check that the power button board cable connection is OK?

Yes I upgraded the RAM to 12GB, made sure it was PC3-10600 or PC3-12800 which is what my CPU is compatible with. I installed a 500GB HDD hoping to install Windows 10, only to find out I couldn't turn it on. I checked my work and every cable is where it should be, nothing loose at least from what I can see.

According to what I just found out the ram for the laptop needs to be DDR3L not DDR3, so did you get PC3L-12800 or PC3 -12800?
DDR3L is dual voltage ram and will work in both 1.5V and 1.35V ram slots.
DDR3 is 1.5V working ram only and will not work in 1.35V slots.
Check what the information is that is on the ram module to see if you can find the specifications that tell you exactly what type of ram it is. Also check the originally installed ram to confirm what type of ram it is to make sure what I said is accurate about it needing to be DDR3L.
Does it turn on if you install the original ram again?
