microphone missed in all apps

In iPhone 7 (iOS 15.7.x) my microphone suddenly stopped to work, infact speakerphone is greyed and not enabled, FaceTime calls don't work, during phone calls people cannot listen to my voice, voice memo doesn't work when I click to record.

I checked all settings included privacy and accessibility ones but before to reset phone to factory defaults can you suggest me other tasks to run ?

If factory Reset will not work I think It's hardware issue. What do you think?

Answer this question I have this problem too

This is sounds like one of the common issues with iPhone 7 to me (and iPhone 7 Plus as well). A reset is very unlikely to resolve the issue in my experience, your symptoms are textbook.

In iPhone 7 there is a point on the logic board which is susceptible to becoming separated from the Audio IC (chip). It’s a repair that anyone with board level experience should be able to fix, but it will require skills in micro soldering to resolve. Typically you would need to remove the chip, run some jumpers between any weak or disconnected pads and solder the chip back on. I would recommend reading a little more about the fault. If micosoldering is out of your skill set, as your local relpair shops if they can do this sort of repair. Or if they recommend someone who can.

For completionists sake I’ll also link to the iPhone No Sound troubleshooting page for some other sound related causes, but I’m positive this is your issue.

Yep hardware issue, iPhone 7 is well known to have this problem. Advanced BGA rework tools and skills required to fix it.
