How do I remove the gas knobs?

My oven temperature knob has come loose and I need to remove the front panel of the oven to get at this connection, but the front panel won't come off unless I can remove the gas knobs. And they won't budge.

I've removed lots of screws from the relevant areas and the front panel is now only hanging on by the gas knobs. I've pulled and twisted but to no avail. Any help you be much appreciated 🤞

TIA

Usually knobs on many appliances such as this come off by simply pulling them gently out horizontally from the appliance. Try to remove them slowly by pulling evenly on both sides at the same time.

Hi @chrisgrady22983,

To add to @kevinc2019 answer here's a link where you can see what the burner knobs look like.

If you click "click to enlarge" on the 2nd image you can see that the knob is the push on/pull off type.

Thanks heaps for replying guys. It was impossible to do this free hand (boy did I try), but I found a hack that suggested using a tea towel to wrap around the knobs and to pull this to yank them off. Even this was difficult, but it eventually got there. I've added some WD40 to the internal parts to hopefully make next time easier.

Thanks again, Chris
