My laptop opens only when it is half closed

Bit hard maybe but try changing the Power option When I close the lid setting to do nothing and check if the laptop stays on when you fully open the lid.

This is just to check if there's a problem with the lid switch at all.

If you can't open the lid far enough to easily navigate through the laptop without it shutting down you could try connecting an external monitor (TV)? to the laptop's HDMI port and use its display leaving the lid half open on the laptop.

Please confirm the full model number of the laptop as shown on the information label on the bottom of the laptop, just in case it is different to what you have selected in your question and the schematics may be required to find out what's happening.
