lightning port replacement issues
I've heard that I need a OEM charge port to have the phone work properly.

Or something from a known good vendor. Charge ports specifically on newer models are problematic because if there is an issue with a sensor reading, the phone will reboot every 3 minutes.
Jason at STS Telecom did a super video comparing various charge ports for the iPhone 11 under a microscope that is pretty enlightening on why you should be sure to get a charge port pulled from a known good phone. Or a high quality replacement.
