Screen flickering with lines and lights after placing a piece of paper
Hello, I've been troubleshooting this MacBook pro 13 inch (2016), however, I haven't had any luck in resolving the issue of spamming lines and colors. It has had a screen replacement a few years ago for a shattered screen, and was replaced by Apple. This issue appeared about a month ago. This issue occurred after placing a piece of paper in-between the keyboard and the screen.
Some steps I've already done:
Update the OS
Reboot in safe mode
Reset PRAM / NVRAM
Reset SMC
There is no option for automatic graphic switching (I'm assuming this means there is only 1 graphics unit installed) .
Since this is a 2016 model, there is no true tone option as well.
I feel like I've exhausted all the troubleshooting steps I can do on the OS side. My next thought was that there is an issue with the hardware. I have a lot of experience with Chromebooks and Windows laptops. With those, usually the display connector or the screen itself was the issue. With the MacBook however, I'm not sure if this would stay true.
Does anyone know why placing the piece of paper in-between the keyboard and the screen would cause this issue? Videos and pictures below.
Is this a good question?
