My monitor will not display anything

One day I turned on my monitor and nothing will display. The PC detects the monitor; I have tried display and HDMI from the monitor; I tried all the HDMI and display ports on the PC, which other monitors work fine on; There is nothing showing when the menu buttons are pressed; I tried to shine a light on the screen and did not see any image.

I don’t want to just scrap it. I think it may be something wrong with the main board. I’ve ever only found one video where they replaced a chip on it to restore function. I was hoping to get some advice or suggestions. Thank you.

Try to unplug it, wait for 10 seconds, and then plug it back in from both ends. Let me know if it works.

@robertj30180 time to open it up and to look at the boards. Check for any obviously damaged components. Could be as simple as a failed component on the power or the video board. Until you look at it and check it out, it'll all be just a guess.

Since iFixit does not yet have a specific guide for this, use something like this video

Once you have it opened up take a good look at teh boards. Post some well focused pictures of those with your question. That way we can see what you see Adding images to an existing question

While you work on your monitor, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has a device with the same issues as you do. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.
