How do I replace the Keyboard

I opened up the laptop and took out the motherboard which had a metal plate under it with plastic seemingly melted off to adhere this plate to the chassis. There seems to be no way to replace the keyboard unless i scratched all of the 20+ melted standoffs off and took this metal plate out. I am not sure what modell i have exactly but i know that the keyboard can't be removed from the other side since the top part of the chassis is one solid piece of plastic.

Answer this question I have this problem too

@chestnutecho that is correct. your keyboard is most likely considered part of the palmrest / upper cover. You did not tell us your exacty computer model but picked the 3440. Use this Dell Latitude 3440 Service Manual

Of course, you can always try and remove all of those plastic rivets, then pull the keyboard off. Now, the tricky part would be to attach a new one. You will need to find screws short enough, so as to not come out on the top of your case, while you screw those into the leftover plastic nubs that were the original rivets. It's most likely easier top find a used top case with keyboard and to replace it.
