Mac Pro and dosdude1 patch

Ok, so not really urgent, but I got this Mac Pro 3,1 (2008) a week ago and I heard the seller say that he got the dosdude1 Catalina patch on the Mac Pro. I tested it and it works fine, only problem being that all transparency elements (dock, volume controls, etc.) are plain white, not transparent. If anyones wondering, my graphics card is a ATI Radeon HD 5770 (1gb) (I'm using a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter as well). If you have the answer, please tell me! Thanks in advance!

Catalina is the fist release of macOS which dropped the older display drivers, so your adapter is not leveraging the newer driver so the API calls are not complete! You need a PCI graphics board that supports Metal APIs.

So don’t take this adapter out as you still need it! Instead add in a second adapter, then plug your monitor into it.
