MacBook air m1 does not charge the battery

Hello, I have a MacBook Air M1 that got water on it and now the computer does not charge the battery. The USB C port does work since I can connect the computer to HDMI for example. The battery also works well since if I connect a motherboard from another MacBook Air M1, the battery charges.

Anyone know what can it be?

Answer this question I have this problem too

I think you isolated the issue is within the systems logic board, so clearly some liquid got onto it and/or caused something to short out.

This will likely need someone more skilled to debug the board and hopefully fix it.

@juancarlos30510 water damage is the hardest to troubleshoot and to repair, since virtually any part in the charging circuit may have failed. Now it is up to you to inspect the board for any damage. After that, you will need a multimeter and test the power power rails etc. to see where your charging circuit gets power and where it does not. Here is what the charging circuitry for your computer looks like

Now all you need is the boardview ;-))
