On my 2003 Tahoe the driver side power window cable is broken.

How do I replace the drivers side power window cable that is inside the door, seemingly inaccessible. 2003 Chevy Tahoe

The only fix for a broken cable is to replace the entire regulator. Nobody sells replacement parts for the regulators . To replace a regulator you'll have to remove the door trim panel find a way to hold the glass up and disconnect from the regulator and then unbolt and remove the old regulator . Then reverse the process to install the new regulator

Long strips of masking tape is actually very good at holding the glass up. Use least 4, and have them taped to the top 12 inches of glass, go over the door, and tape to the top 12 inches on the back of the glass too. It should hold. Used to do that when needed while retrofitting law enforcement vehicles.
