Hi!

Could be the actual speaker, the headphone jack OR a fuse.

Here is the fuse replaced: Loss of audio Output From Units speakers..

You need to open the console and do a continuity test for the fuse. If the fuse is okay, then replace the speaker and the headphone jack. Both are like $1 or $2.

How do I check to see if the fuse is working?

Hi! You can do continuity test with a multimeter. As long as it “beeps” when holding the pins to each other ends, it’s fine. If it does not beep, then it need to be replaced! Good luck!

@dan0 My multimeter is not beeping and when I short the pins on the fuse, the multimeter in ohmmeter mode shows nothing, but on the other fuse it shows a number. does this mean I need to unsolder the fuse? if so, how do I make a bridge?

by

If the multimeter is not showing anything on the fuse, then the fuse is broken and need to be replaced. Best thing is to solder a new fuse on it with the same values.

@dan0 When I replaced the fuse, I first time I plugged the cable backwards then fine, sound works but no backlight, is it because I plugged the cable in the wrong direction?
