Why won’t my Xbox Series X turn on?

6/21/24 I just replaced my power supply on my XSX and it still won’t turn on. Problem originated back in September of 23, I started playing a new game and the Xbox randomly shut off and never turned back on. I put the console on the shelf until I could work a replacement power supply into my budget, and I just got a new one installed into it. After installing the new power supply, the Xbox series x still won’t turn on. I even tried plugging the controller into the usb slot to turn it on that way and no luck. Any suggestions at to what the problem could be? I’m desperate…

Hi Aidan!

Most likely the MOSFET died on the motherboard... Replacing this requires soldering plus soldering skills.

You can find them here: Xbox Series X Teardown (step 11).

Please first measure them before replacing all of them.

With this guide you can determine if you do the repair by yourself or let a local repair shop do it for you.

Hopefully you will get it fixed it again!
